Mel Lamar is an incredibly gifted jazz guitarist, as you will soon see. Another talented musician and friend of mine, Jewett Benson, has been taking lessons from Mel for quite some time, and tipped me off about this story. If you are interested in lessons, or perhaps would just like to meet him (he's very approachable) and just visit about music, Mel can be found a couple days a week at Carlson Music in Alexandria.
